    Totally different Vortec. Your Class A has the 8.1L. The Class Cs all have the 6.0 (with the exception of 2002s) The V10 makes power at a much lower RPM than the 6.0, however the 6-speed GM transmission was a little smarter than the 5-speed Ford transmission, but Ford now puts their 6-speedin the E-series which is a very nice transmission.

    May 29, 2014 · Today we were driving the RV (2004 Holiday Rambler 37PCD) with 8.1 GM gas on workhorse chassis, Alllison Transmission, when the check engine light came on for no apparent reason. I stopped and checked fluid levels, topped off oil (was only 1/2 liter down from full) and couldn't find anything obviously wrong.
