You're only young once dude. Do it! 1 year away doesn't all of a sudden destroy your job prospects. If anything, I think employers would be impressed if you can show that you are independent and have a diverse range of skills. Maybe you can pick up a new language. You have your whole damn life to work, but you're only young once.
