    Maybe try voice acting? I'm on a working holiday visa too and that's what I'm doing. So far it's been really easy, two weeks after my first ever audition I got a part for a reasonably popular TV show. The work seems to be pretty sporadic though, so you can't really count on it as a primary source of income. Could supplement another job though.

    Flat out more things to do - Japan. More bank for your buck - Korea. I lived in Korea for 4 years and been to Japan 4 times. I love Korea a bunch, but Japan is just better for me. In Japan I spend ~$60 a day. In Korea, I would spend ~$45 a day and would include better meals too.
