Mar 17, 2012 · Two years ago, the step cover on our 2007 Monaco Dynasty closed and then would not open. Monaco technicians were unable to help. An RV service facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico discovered (after considerable checking) that the motor that retracts the step cover was not grounded. They ran a new ground wire and it has worked well ever since.

1. pull the step cover out and reach underneath and remove the small screws attaching the cover itself from the frame. 2. remove the 2 pairs of Phillips screws (one pair shown partially removed) 3. whole tray assembly should pull out as a unit. Any more questions let me know. Dave

Jul 10, 2009 · With the master switch on the wall turned on, try a magnet on the lower part of the door frame where the magnets match up when the steps work as they should. That might get the steps out. If you hear a click when you try that and steps don't come out, we had to replace the motor.
