    I stayed in Cairo for a week as a solo female (21 years old). I was followed a lot and cat-called / asked for a 'view' or a kiss every 5 minutes even though I was completely covered up, so this is definitely not a place for the faint hearted. It was never with malicious intent though (no one forced themselves on me or even tried to mug me), the culture is just very different than western culture.3.3/5(1)
